The park is "Magical Playground" full of endless sightings, each day is different and unique. Make sure you bring your camera, sunscreen, repellent and some water. Let the fun begin !!
Via Land:
Most game drives happen early in the morning when the park opens as the animals will move around in the cooler temperatures. This is ideal for land game viewing, as it can get quite warm as the day progresses. Chobe National Park roads have been set up so all vehicles go on the same routes. In one way and out the other. This way everyone can see what is there and for common sense safety reasons, the roads are quite sandy, which requires some skill to navigate. Easy for our guides to show you around. You will see lots of other vehicles enjoying the same sightings, the guides work together so you all get to see the exciting spots. Many of the guides share information on what is going on so you won't miss out.
By Boat:
In the mid afternoon many of the animals will migrate towards the river to get a drink and for some to cool off by dipping in the river. This is when the majority of people go for a boat safari / sunset cruise.
Generally we start at Kasane & pick up at various docks, as this is where the majority of the accommodation is located. Once all are aboard most go to the main park entrance. This is where guides register the boat and passengers. This only takes a few minutes then your off to enjoy an unforgettable adventure. For some who are passionate birders, early morning boat adventures are ideal for photography. There are not many boats out that go out early.
We slowly move into the Park, the river has a gentle speed so its very comfortable to take in. Generally you will see lots on the main bank of the river as well as approx 200-300 meters towards Namibia there are several islands that are flat, with lush grass for the animals & easy viewing options. We all carefully navigate though the channels which a are quite wide. We get close to the animals by approaching the shoreline. Animals, reptiles and birds are very used to seeing the boats. There will be several spots where the boat stops to get a good photo or watch the interactions, open a cool drink or have a snack. The best is yet to come,,, on your way back as your reliving what has happened the sun slowly gets lower, the light takes on an amber tone which is nice for photos, as we near the end you will likely be treated to one of the most beautiful sunsets that happen on earth. A Botswana African Sunset !
